The premium SSG sugar pine is the highest quality pine that I have ever worked with! It is incredibly light with low grain pattern so your axle holes will drill dead on! The wood feels like basswood with the strength of pine. This is what the fastest cars in the world are created out of! The Sugar Pine is cut to the measurements of between 3/8" to 1" height (4 sizes to choose from), 1-3/4" width, and 7" length. Combine this with "The Block" by Jewkes Engineering and will have a lethal combination for a perfectly aligned pinewood derby car.
