Hi, my name is John Halliburton. Pinewood Performance is based out of Saratoga Springs, Utah. As a child I had the opportunity to compete in 2 Pinewood Derbies as a Cub Scout. I still remember them to this day! I took 3rd in the first one and 5th in the next. It was a blast and I cherish the help my Dad gave me with my cars. We didn't have the information and resources that are available now but we did the best we could and had fun. I am very competitive by nature and I remember wondering what I could have done better to take 1st place. Too late, I aged out and never had another chance until 30 years later!

I am now the proud father of 12 great kids of my own. In 2007 my son had his first Pinewood Derby. Like many others, the pinewood bug bit us very hard. We spent hundreds of dollars on specialty pinewood tools and supplies to try and build the fastest car ever! With hours and hours of work were successful and won our first Pinewood Derby race even the though the car rattled the entire way down the track! We then discovered there was an entire new world of pinewood league racing where the best builders in the country competed against each other. We formed the LA Sound Racing Team and raced against and learned techniques from the best around until we finally reached the top ourselves. That is when I decided to create a website that would offer the products that you NEED to build a fast car. I will be glad to share with you the help that I received so your child can experience the thrill of winning a Pinewood Derby! 34 National Titles of my own over the last 3 years and tons of race experience are now in the palm of your hands.
